PLP Entry - Sounds of Nature

I thought this was a painting, and then I read the info and it is an image from a picture. There is an incredible amount of detail here, and overall the image has a great blue tone that is not overwhelming and adds to the emotion of the scene.

I would suggest that the fingers on her right hand are too out-of-focus, and are clashing with the black keys of the piano. My eye keeps going to that area of the picture, detracting from the eyes of the girl. I recommend maybe make the keys a lighter color and the hand and fingers sharper.

Also, there is a bird in the upper left corner that I did not see originally that is blending into the background. Since it is the only bird in the image and is not really adding anything, I say lose it and replace it with either more leaves or more butterflies to keep with the theme.

That's about it really. The detail in the hair and the raindrops on the face all convey a great sense of texture and command of technique.
